My research examines how telecommunications infrastructure shapes economic outcomes in developing countries — from mobile phone adoption and GDP growth in sub-Saharan Africa to stock market efficiency in emerging markets. I use panel data and GMM methods to address the endogeneity problems that make these questions hard.

I am a Professor of Practice in Data Science at the Connolly Alexander Institute for Data Science (CAIDS) at Tulane University. I teach courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistics. I am also the author of Time Series Econometrics: Learning Through Replication (Springer, 2nd ed. 2023).
